How to Display LEGO 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4

LEGO 75454 Display Guide: How to Showcase the Imperial Remnant AT-AT

An AT-AT is one of those LEGO Star Wars models that can look impressive almost anywhere.

But LEGO 75454 is not quite the same as the classic Hoth walker most collectors already know.

The new LEGO Imperial Remnant AT-AT 75454 belongs to a rougher, more fragmented Star Wars era. Its connection to The Mandalorian and Grogu, the included INT-4 escape pod, speeder bike and character lineup give the model a different personality from earlier AT-AT builds.

That difference is worth preserving when it comes to display.

Instead of surrounding it with another snowy battlefield, the more interesting challenge is figuring out how to make this particular walker feel like the LEGO Remnant AT-AT it is.

And before choosing a display case, frame or background, one thing matters more than anything else:

the pose.

LEGO 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT official model overview with long legs and grey armored bodyAt roughly 37 cm long and 32 cm tall, LEGO 75454 is not especially wide, but it has a strong vertical presence.

That matters because the legs do not simply support the model.

They are part of the composition.

Why LEGO 75454 Is Different From a Classic AT-AT Display

Fans may naturally call this set the LEGO Remnant AT-AT, LEGO Mando AT-AT, or even the LEGO Mandalorian and Grogu AT-AT.

Those names all point toward the same thing:

this is not simply another Imperial walker.

The classic AT-AT image is tied closely to Hoth, snow and the Empire at full military strength. LEGO 75454 belongs to a later period where the Imperial presence feels more fractured, worn and improvised.

That gives collectors more freedom.

You do not have to recreate a white battlefield.

Dark terrain, industrial structures, damaged Imperial graphics or dusty environments can all make more sense for this version.

The display should tell viewers which era of the Empire they are looking at.

The First Display Decision: Straight Legs or Walking Pose?

The easiest thing to do after finishing LEGO 75454 is straighten all four legs and place it on a shelf.

It works.

But it also removes a lot of the model’s personality.

Try moving one front leg slightly forward and letting the opposite rear leg follow naturally. Then turn the head just a little away from the body.

The walker suddenly feels less like a static model and more like a machine that has stopped mid-step.

This is especially useful if you are displaying the model without a large background.

The pose itself becomes the scene.

One practical detail we noticed is that the effective footprint changes once the legs move. A shelf or LEGO 75454 display frame designed around the absolute minimum dimensions can feel cramped as soon as you start experimenting.

A little extra space is worth having.

Keep the INT-4 Outside

The most specific feature of this set may not be the AT-AT at all.

It is the INT-4.

The smaller escape pod can sit inside the walker, but for display we would seriously consider leaving it outside.

Why?

Because from across the room, an AT-AT is still an AT-AT.

Once the INT-4 is positioned beside it, LEGO Imperial Remnant AT-AT 75454 becomes much easier to distinguish from other versions of the walker.

Try placing the pod slightly forward of the AT-AT rather than directly alongside it.

That creates depth.

It also makes the large walker feel even larger.

The speeder bike can do something similar, but using both secondary vehicles plus every minifigure can quickly crowd the foreground.

Pick one strong supporting element instead of using everything at once.

Let the Characters Create Scale

The seven characters included with LEGO 75454 are useful for more than simply filling the scene.

They help communicate scale.

Rather than lining everyone up in a neat row, create a small confrontation beneath the walker.

The Mandalorian and Grogu can sit on one side.

Imperial Remnant troops can occupy the other.

Then let the AT-AT tower over everything.

That vertical relationship makes the model feel much more imposing than placing the same characters beside it at equal visual importance.

The walker should dominate.

The minifigures should explain the story happening underneath.

Skip the Obvious Hoth Background

This may be the biggest display choice.

An AT-AT plus snow is instantly recognizable.

It is also what almost everyone expects.

For the LEGO Mando AT-AT, we would go in another direction.

A darker Imperial Remnant setting feels more specific:

  • Worn metal textures
  • Broken Imperial structures
  • Dark grey terrain
  • Dust or atmospheric haze
  • Small red Imperial accents
  • Sparse lighting rather than a bright battlefield

The background does not need to recreate an exact movie location.

It only needs to separate this model visually from a classic The Empire Strikes Back display.

That difference can make LEGO 75454 feel much more individual.

A Shelf Setup That Feels Intentional

If you prefer a simple shelf, start with height.

Do not place another large model directly above the walker if the shelf spacing is tight. The empty air over the AT-AT helps the legs and body feel taller.

A dark shelf or muted wall behind the model also works well because the lighter armor remains easy to read.

Then keep the foreground selective.

One INT-4.

A few characters.

Maybe the speeder bike if the shelf is deep enough.

That is usually enough.

A crowded base can make the walker feel smaller, which is the opposite of what an AT-AT display should do.

Try a Captured-Moment Display

One way to avoid the usual “model in front of background” look is to imagine the setup as a paused film frame.

Ask:

What happened two seconds before this?

What happens next?

Maybe the walker has just stopped.

The head is turned.

The INT-4 has deployed.

Imperial troops are moving into position.

The Mandalorian is below.

Now the display has a direction.

You do not need a complete battlefield because the viewer fills in the rest.

This kind of LEGO Mandalorian and Grogu AT-AT scene feels more natural than decorating every available centimetre.

Does LEGO 75454 Work in a Display Case?

Yes, but give it room.

A LEGO 75454 display case can be useful because AT-ATs have plenty of exposed joints and horizontal surfaces that eventually collect dust.

The important part is not choosing the smallest possible case.

The poseable legs change the footprint.

The moving head changes the silhouette.

An external INT-4 needs foreground space.

A slightly larger case gives you freedom to change the scene later instead of locking the model into one pose forever.

The case should contain the display.

It should not determine it.

What About a LEGO 75454 Display Frame?

A wall-mounted setup may sound unusual for an AT-AT, but the silhouette is surprisingly well suited to it.

Four long legs.

A rectangular body.

A projecting head.

Viewed as a whole, the model has an almost poster-like shape.

A LEGO 75454 display frame also solves one practical issue: it moves a tall model away from increasingly crowded Star Wars shelves.

For the background, we would keep the upper area relatively quiet and add more detail closer to the ground.

That lets the head and body remain clearly separated while the lower scene carries the Remnant atmosphere.

If you notice the printed artwork before the AT-AT, the background is probably too strong.

Put It Near Imperial Models—Just Not All of Them

LEGO 75454 naturally belongs in a wider Imperial display.

Darth Vader, Imperial helmets, Star Destroyers and other walkers all make sense nearby.

But several large grey models placed together can quickly blend into one visual block.

Vary the height instead.

Put the AT-AT beside something lower.

Or give it its own section while the surrounding shelves continue the Imperial theme.

Collections often feel more connected when they are not physically crowded together.

The Display Detail We Would Build Around

If we had to choose only one feature to make the display specific to LEGO 75454, it would be the INT-4.

Not more Imperial logos.

Not more background graphics.

The INT-4.

The AT-AT silhouette gives the scene familiarity.

The escape pod gives it identity.

That is a useful rule for almost any LEGO display:

Find the one detail that separates this set from every similar model, and make sure it stays visible.

For the LEGO Remnant AT-AT, that detail is already included in the box.

Final Thoughts

The strongest LEGO 75454 displays probably will not be the ones with the most scenery.

This model already gives collectors plenty to work with.

The legs create movement.

The head creates direction.

The INT-4 gives the set its own identity.

The Mandalorian, Grogu and Imperial characters provide scale and story.

Start with those elements before adding anything else.

Experiment with the stance. Move the INT-4 outside the walker. Leave more empty space than you think you need. And if you add a background, make it feel like the Imperial Remnant era rather than automatically returning to Hoth.

A good LEGO Imperial Remnant AT-AT 75454 display should still look imposing when almost everything around it is removed.

If it does, the model is already doing most of the work.
